Peppers painting coming along slowly, partly due nature of oil paints, partly tiredness and general life stuff getting in the way.
Sketching compositionNot working today, so time to get started sketching out main shapes for peppers in a crystal bowl. I recently attended a course in oil painting, which is the medium I'm using for this painting. Complaints have been made this morning that the combined odour of boiled eggs and oil paint is most unpleasant. Some people should have got up earlier!
Sunday morning up early, well 8.20 to be precise to get into my studio before it's booked for breakfast. I'm not going to be very popular when people come down to the scent of oil paint mixed with turpentine. Luckily the weather is good at the moment so outdoor canvas drying is an option.
The theme for paintings for this exhibition are flowers, fruit and vegetables because I thought they would compliment the interior of Singburi Cafe, Leytonstone. Some paintings are previous but I am also creating new images especially for the occasion.
